Once
there were two young boys who grew up in the same village.
They both were average students, both were very competitive,
and both left their village filled with ambitious dreams
for their future. One day they returned home for the
funeral of an old friend from their childhood.
Remarkably, they were
still very much alike. Both were happily married, both
had three children and as it turned out, both had gone
on to become soldiers in the king's army. But
there was a difference. One of these men had risen to
the rank of Sergeant while the other was the Commander-in-Chief
of the army.
What Made The Difference?
Have you ever wondered,
as I have, what makes this kind of difference in people's
lives? Is it that one had more talent than the other?
Is it that one worked harder than the other? Or is it
that one was luckier than the other? In studying the
lives of successful people, I discovered the difference
lies not in the answers to any of the questions listed
above, but in the knowledge one learns, and how he or
she makes use of that knowledge.
The Search
In my search on how
I could achieve my dreams and goals, I studied the Bible,
read books on making money, self-improvement, positive
thinking and success, all the while struggling to make
ends meet until one day I read a statement that said:
"The key to having what you want, being who you
choose to be and doing what you want to do is only achieved
by knowing the laws and principles that govern wealth
and success and practicing them in your life."
After discovering this statement, finding those laws
and principles became my number one goal in life.
Knowledge is the Key
As I examined the
lives of men and women who had achieved success, wealth
and happiness, I saw a pattern: "They all were
living their lives according to certain laws and principles."
Some were aware that they were using these principles
to achieve their success while some were not. But the
one thing both groups had in common was that they were
all living their lives in accordance to certain principles.
Throughout our lives
we have been taught and have learned many things. One
thing many of us were not taught nor have we learned
is how to live our lives more abundantly and it is the
lack of this knowledge and its application in our lives
that is keeping us from achieving our dreams. So what
are these laws and principles?
The Promise
